What is it

Spotify allows you to pitch unreleased music directly to their editorial team for playlist consideration.

Why it matters

Editorial playlist placement can dramatically increase your streams and expose you to new audiences. It's one of the most powerful discovery tools on the platform.

How to do it

1. Upload your release through your distributor at least 7 days before release
2. Go to Music tab in Spotify for Artists
3. Find your upcoming release and click "Pitch a song"
4. Fill out the pitch form with genre, mood, and context
5. Submit at least 7 days before release date
